We developed a full job tracking, inventory management and invoicing solution to help AEL with the day-to-day management and running of their engineering business. Our system has allowed AEL to keep track of jobs, stock levels and staff productivity to create invoices. We have developed an interface so that invoice details can be imported into MYOB.

DataPro developed a complex integrated business solutions database for our company. The solution they developed is excellent and has turned what was a major time consuming task requiring repetitive entry of multiple data fields, into a single data entry and document production solution. Their system is excellent and was developed within the agreed budget and timeframe.

We managed the entry of all new membership data for all customers of Animates pet stores throughout New Zealand as well as updating data on changed customers and pet details.

We developed a job management system for E & I that allows them to manage all aspects of recording job time, materials and deliveries of completed items. Production staff use a touch screen or bar code scanner to record time against jobs. The system can track the progress of jobs, manage job costing, product information for staff pays and produce delivery dockets for completed items.

We provided EECA with a web-based system to allow project managers around NZ to enter data on their subsidised home insulation projects. EECA is able to run a range of standard reports from the system as well as to be able to create custom reports that may be required to answer specific government queries.

We have also developed a database to assist EECA's Solar Assistance team to manage data on their various projects.

HR Direction

We developed a customised system for HR Direction to assist them in the efficient management of the recruitment process from receiving applications through to final acceptance of a candidate.

The system includes a range of automated reporting and communications features so as to streamline the many steps in the recruitment process. The system also manages the external costs associated with recruitment process for each position.

I first spoke to Glenn sensing DataPro could make our life easier but was dubious that what they might suggest would be feasible. I thought what we needed would take months and months to create and come at a prohibitive cost. We now have a database that we can’t imagine work without. It has not only met our needs but allows us to do things we never considered. The time it saves us every day is time we can spend on more important tasks. We also process and analyse a range of other business data that allows Pacific Horizon to better understand their forward bookings as well as the extent and nature of their bookings that are declined owing to capacity constraints.

For the last 6 years we have helped run customer satisfaction surveys for the Ski Areas Association of NZ (SAANZ) and their members (all major commercial ski areas) as well as several of the smaller ski areas in NZ. They survey everything from demographics and ski / boarding experience to satisfaction with the lift service and cafes.

We process and analyse 10,000 survey forms each year – including setting up and producing the surveys as well as entering the data. During the season we produce fortnightly reports which the ski areas use to understand what is working well for them and what they need to improve, enabling them to make tweaks to improve their service throughout the winter, without having to wait until the ski season has finished.

We also provide a comprehensive set of mid- and end-of-season reports for each ski area, plus a national report for the association overall.

As well as using the information through the current season, SAANZ use the information to help drive their marketing activity going into the next season, for example when selling season passes, either to regular customers or to previous pass holders. Having run the surveys for 6 years, SAANZ they also value the ability to measure trends over time.

The information we get from these surveys has proved invaluable to us during the last few years both in day to day management of our members’ ski areas and in overall strategic planning.
